SEVENTH GRADER WHO SHOT   HIMSELF PLANNED ATTACK ON         SCHOOL.

A grade 7 learner brought a gun to school and shot himself in the restroom last week, he was planning to shoot others at the school before changing his last mind at the last second. The boy ,13 year old Keith Simons, came out of the bathroom holding a semi-automatic rifle just before classes began and then abruptly went back inside and shot himself.

He died at the hospital, the police are still trying to figure out the cause of the shooting, this happened at Jackson Middle school near Massillon. Police said the boy had a device in his backpack meant to cause distraction.
They said they also do not know where the boy got the gun or if anyone was involved. Investigators found messages on his cellphone that showed he had been planning an attack.

"I'd hurt and destroy something bigger but my school is an easy target" Simons wrote in one message found oh his phone."I want to leave a lasting impression in the world", he said in other message written days before he took a gun to school. "I'm going to die doing it."

Thanks God that he didn't hurt anyone. But why on earth would someone become so cruel? You know what surprises me the most is that this is done by a teenager. The school is no longer the safe place to go to.

  1. Maybe the poor boy was bullied at school or even his background is the reason. Anger issues may be the worst problem ever.

  8. The boy might have been bullied but no one noticed or people did noticed or turned a blind eye. The police should do thorough investigation.

  9. I think schools should provide professional therapist for learners and it should be compulsory that they meet up with them, that could make a huge difference because at the end of the day teachers never know what we have to deal with outside school.

  10. This could be as a result of bullism at school, teachers need to take a good look at these things.

  12. This is so sad. This story triggers the fact that everybody needs a friend, and that if you have them pray for them because you don't know what they are going through because some of our friends find it hard to talk about some personal issues.May his soul rest in peace

  14. At each and every school there are hanging boards who show weapons and drugs that should not be carried at school, not even allowed to enter the school premises but the Boy managed to come to school with a Gun and caused such a painful thing to himself. I think the Principal of that school must answer as to how do guns enter the school premises because Security should be tight at the gate making sure that each and every student is checked before getting inside the school premises. Yes it is time consuming but at the same time good in handling matters like this

  15. How do guns enter schools, i thought the were measures at high school also at university to stop students from entering with guns on the premises, but now it is clear that the system is failing.
